Road trip to Lago Maggiore – A road with a view

We used the bank holiday weekend to do a road trip to Lago Maggiore, Lago di Lugano and Lago di Como, hoping to see the blue sky again, the sun and maybe some snow. We passed the borders 8 times between Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Austria without even showing a passport but struggling with the serpentines of the Simplon Pass and the Splügen Pass.

This road trip definitively followed the path-goal theory because the views were incredible (only comparable with my Canada road trip). That’s why I want to share with you the best of this road with a view (because there are not only rooms with a view)!

Am verlängerten Wochenende ging es Richtung Lago Maggiore, Luganersee und Comersee, mal wieder blauen Himmel sehen, Sonne und auch Schnee. Insgesamt 8 Grenzübergänge zwischen Deutschland, der Schweiz, Italien und Österreich passierten wir ohne einmal den Ausweis zücken zu müssen. Die größte Herausforderung waren die Serpentinen am Simplon- und am Splügenpass.
Und da wie so oft der Weg auch das Ziel sein kann, gibt es hier eine kleine bebilderte Zusammenfassung des Roadtrips, denn es gibt nicht nur Zimmer mit Aussicht, sondern definitiv auch Straßen (zuletzt bestätigt durch meinen Roadtrip durch Canada)!
